Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

As a harbinger to ASTRIAAL‘s return show at Monstrothic (Rosies Live) this coming Friday night, the Brisbane extremists have announced that Cameron Grant (PSYCROPTIC) will fill the long vacated bass position and debut live with the band at their show in Brisbane.

Astriaal – Anatomy of the Infinite

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

After a nigh on seven year recording silence ASTRIAAL are now poised to return with their sophomore album entitled ‘Anatomy of the Infinite‘. This next opus is due to be released in the Autumn of 2010 for the southern equatorial territories via Australian label Obsidian Records. Sounding strikingly different to their previous debut full length ‘Renascent Misanthropy‘ in production, tone and song structure. Recorded at various studios within Australia and mixed at Mølla Lydstudio [Norway] with Knut Magne Valle [Arcturus], ‘Anatomy of the Infinite‘ resonates with a more primeval, organic musicality throughout. Featuring eight tracks comprising of haunting and dissonant passages interwoven with moments of epic black metal grandeur, ‘Anatomy of the Infinite‘ will indeed satiate the needs of those ardent adherents that have been anticipating the next chapter in the ASTRIAAL sonic landscape. The reprisal looms…
